Western Rye Fishing, Hunting, Cooking & Brewing Guide

Fishing, bison hunting, campfire/stove cooking, whiskey and moonshine brewing are all confirmed parts of Western Rye's survival loop.

Fishing

The official store copy says players can fish at the lake. A developer demo-era reply also described fishing as a practical starting activity and a possible source of income through vendors. Exact fish species, bait, rods, locations and sell values are not yet verified for the launch build.

Hunting

Steam explicitly calls out bison hunting. Developer posts describe a hunting loop where meat can be sold to a butcher, but that money route comes from a February demo-era explanation. Treat the concept as a developer report until launch prices and locations are checked.

Cooking

Cooking is supported at a campfire and the Homestead Stove. Steam says meals can provide gameplay benefits, but it does not publish the launch recipe list or exact buffs.

Brewing

Whiskey and moonshine are specifically confirmed. Earlier developer posts also mentioned wine, but because the current Steam page only names whiskey and moonshine, those two are the safe launch claims.
